MediaContacts™ powered by eNR Services, Adds Precision To Search Process With New Hierarchical Capabilities

New Service Offers Highly-Developed Interconnectivity With Other BurrellesLuce Products

NEW YORK (October 21, 2004) — BurrellesLuce, the world's leading media monitoring and analysis company, is showcasing a powerful and intuitive online media contact database at this year’s Public Relations Society of America International Conference.

MediaContacts (Version 1) incorporates an advanced hierarchical search capability that streamlines and improves the process for creating media contact lists. Through the use of subject categories and subcategories, MediaContacts enables users to drill down to the most appropriate subject and corresponding media contact that is related to a specific public relations campaign. The new public relations resource tool is designed not only to save time, but also to improve media relations results by helping professionals more accurately identify those in the media who are most likely to write about a story in the newspaper or talk about it on the evening news.

“MediaContacts helps communication professionals manage the demand for making rapid, informed decisions by providing the most up-to-date and accurate media contact information,” said Tom Haas, vice president of BurrellesLuce Media Database Group. “There are thousands of media outlets in North America. Haas added that MediaContacts is continually updated and enhanced. Many of the media outlets are contacted as often as every 60 days in order to verify and update information. Even lesser known and more obscure outlets are contacted a minimum of once or twice a year.

As with previous versions of the BurrellesLuce media databases, MediaContacts continues to provide a number of useful features, including:

• The ability to add your own contacts to the database while maintaining complete privacy for all media lists

Benefits of Interconnectivity
MediaContacts is the first online media database of its kind to offer true interconnectivity with other BurrellesLuce products and services. For example, subscribers to BurrellesLuce and VMS InSight™ will be able to monitor media coverage online and retrieve contact information all in one place. Within higher levels of InSight, users will be able to research contact information for a media source and then view previous coverage from that source – also all in one place.

Additionally, BurrellesLuce is offering enhanced press release distribution capabilities through MediaContacts. The service enables users to upload a press announcement to the MediaContacts Web server for distribution to a customized MediaContacts contact list previously created and saved by the user.
